Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Polymath, an iOS application produced by Frankie Merzadyan, an independent developer based in the United Kingdom. By installing or using Polymath you agree to these terms.

Licence

Polymath grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the application on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and these terms.

Subscriptions

Each language plugin within Polymath is offered as an auto-renewable subscription. The following terms apply to all such subscriptions:

Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the application except to the extent expressly permitted by law. You agree not to use the application in any manner that would interfere with its normal operation or with other users' use of it.

Content

The application, including its morphology databases, dictionaries, example sentences, and user interface, is provided on an as is and as available basis. Reasonable efforts are made to ensure linguistic accuracy but no warranty is given that the content is complete, current, or error-free. You are responsible for evaluating its suitability for your own purposes.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer's total liability to you in respect of any claim arising from or in connection with these terms or your use of the application is limited to the amount you have paid for the application and any active subscription in the twelve months preceding the claim. The developer shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms and any dispute or claim arising out of them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or claim, save that nothing in this clause restricts the rights of consumers to bring proceedings in their place of habitual residence under mandatory law.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The date at the top of this document indicates the last revision. Continued use of the application after a material change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The canonical version is published at polymath.mindhuntr.ai/terms.
